NHRDA Diesel Nationals highlights exciting weekend of racing
This Friday at Woodburn Dragstrip will be the Friday Night Fun Drags, a relaxed and fun test and tune environment that at the charge of only $30 per racer allows for plenty of testing opportunities. Open for any vehicle that will pass the general technical inspection, a huge variety of cars are available to view on these Friday Night Fun Drags. Racer charge is $30, Adult Admissions is $12, Kids 6-14 years old are $5, and children under six are free. If you have not yet been out in the 2014 season you will need to purchase a Woodburn Competition Number, which is a once annual charge of $10. Gates will open at 3pm, with test and tune action going from 3:30 pm until dusk (approximately 8:30 pm).
Then on Saturday, it’s the feature event of the weekend as the National Hot Rod Diesel Association’s Pacific Coast Diesel Nationals and Sled Pull comes to Woodburn. Come watch as excitingly fast diesel trucks blaze through the quarter mile. Also available today will be a gas pickup class for non-diesel trucks. If you’re a diesel fan, you’ll be doing yourself a huge favor to attend! Adult admission is $25, kids 6-12 are $5, under six is Free. Competitor feeds are $25, bracket competition is $20. Gates open at 8am for Racers and 9am for spectators, with racing from 10-4pm, Show N Shine from 10am-3pm, dyno testing from 10am-5pm, and then a burnout contest at 4pm. Sled Pull scheduled for approximately 5pm.
Then on Sunday, the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series #11, World of Speed Jr Racing Series #8, High School #4, Volkswagen #4, and Sport Compact Challenge #3 events will face-off for year-end point’s battles. Results from the previous event moved the point’s around, and now it is tighter than ever to see who will be the Woodburn Track Champions. Racer cost is #30 ($45 for Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series, $50 for Super Pro), adult admission is $12, kids 6-14 is $5, under six is free.
Don’t forget that next weekend on Thursday, July 3rd is the Inaugural Jet Car Nationals and Oregon State Championship.
Friday July 4th, Hilton Racing presents DRAG-n for DOLLAR$, with a guaranteed minimum payout of over $5000.
