The Race of Champions is now underway.  Also scheduled  is competition in High School and Juniors.  Watch this spot for instant results.

First round winners for Team Woodburn are:  Derrick Jackson and Adam DePeel in Sportsman; Josh Wilson in High School;  Pat Figini and Steve Kelly in Pro; Gary Wargnier and Tom Avgerakis in Super Pro; Roger Wolff in Bike/Sled; and Jerold Mix and Grace Presser, and Benjamin Hilton in Juniors.

Round two winners for Team Woodburn include: Sportsman racer, Adam DePeel; High School Racer Adam Josh Wilson; Junior Racers Jerold Mix and Benjamin Hilton, and Super Pro Racer, Gary Wargnier.

Earning the victory in round three for the Woodburn Warriors are:  Adam DePeel in Sportsman, Josh Wilson in High School; Gary Wargnier in Super Pro; Jerold Mix in Junior Thunder;

Round four stars for Team Woodburn include: High School racer, Josh Wilson who is now in the final three; Gary Wargnier who has worked his way to the final eight. and Jerold Mix in Junior Thunder.  Benjamin Hilton suffered a loss in the semi-finals in Junior Lightning. 

Round five earns the championship for Josh Wilson.  He is crowned the NHRA D ivision 6 High School Champion in addition to his Woodburn Dragstrip High School Championship.    Also of note is Roger Wolff's round 5 win in Motorcycle.  He would go on to a runner-up finish.  Unfortunately, Super Pro Woodburn Dragstrip Champion fell victim in the semi-finals in this round.  Round five saw Junder Thunder driver, Jerold Mix score a runner-up finish.

 

Final standings in the Team Manager's Challenge gives Portland-36 points, Spokane-30 points, and Woodburn with 29 points.  Individual  champions for this competition include:  Super Pro - David Regnier; Pro - Dave Oien; Sportsman - Martin Jackman; Bike/Sled - Kevin Bromley; High School - Josh Wilson; Jr. Lightning - Taren Smith; and Jr. Thunder - Meghan Molinari.  Congratulations to all.  Racing continues tomorrow with Sportsman starting the competition at 8 am.
