Kevin Fletcher ~ Slick Tire Winner

The Slick Tire category brought a final round between Kevin Fletcher and Del McKamey.  Fletcher raced into the last competition round by defeating Pat Majchrzak, a single, and Tony Price, who suffered a broken transmission and was unable to stage.  In the final round, the race was over before it even began when McKamey turned on the red light by -.068, sending Fletcher into the Winner’s Circle.

Tom Barker ~ Street Tire Winner

Tom Barker ~ Street Tire Winner

In the Street Tire class, the final round was between Tom Barker and Janet Darcy.  Barker, competing in his ’05 Pontiac GTO, eliminated GT Pender, Blayne Standage, and Randy Burk to find himself in the trophy round.  In the finals, the race was again decided by a red light start when Darcy turned on the disqualifier light by .032, resulting in a win for Barker.

Art Goodsel ~ Consolation Race Winner

Art Goodsel ~ Consolation Race Winner

The Consolation Category, which is for racers who have the misfortune of losing in the first round of competition, had Art Goodsel in the final round against would be finalist Chris Delry.  Unfortunately for Delry and his ’07 BMW, error codes kept him from wanting to push the car any further past it’s limits, and as such Goodsel made the trip from Reno Nevada worth it by winning in the finals, running a 13.044 on his 12.90 dial-in.
