Weddle Scores Emotional Win In Super Pro

Ten victorious racers earned the top spot in three separate series on June 3, 2012 at Woodburn Dragstrip. In the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series, Roger Weddle, Steve Kelly, and Derrick Jackson earned victories while David Pracht was victorious in Run Tuff. John Masterman earned his second victory in the Super Shifter Series. Spencer David, Dallas Hill, and Kyler Pitts were event champions in the Jr. Series while Alisha Miller earned the Jr. Tuff victory.

Roger Weddle earned the Super Pro victory in just his second event in 2012. He faced Debbie Dawson in the finals and took the win on Debbie’s break-out. Dick Clark and Tony McNeal earned semi-final finishes in Super Pro. Steve Kelly made his return to the winner’s circle in Pro Bracket as the alternate driver for Nick Shepherd. Kelly faced Jim Goodman in the finals and earned the victory despite breaking out by .016 due to Goodman’s .017 break out. Pat Figini returned with his Mustang and earned the semi-final finish in Pro. Derrick Jackson earned his third victory of the year in Sportsman. LaVonne Goodman’s Corvette was a little too quick as her breakout by .106 was greater than Derrick’s breakout by .007. David Pracht earned the Run Tuff victory over Doug Walkup, while Jeff Marchi was the semi-finalist.

In the A-1 Performance Transmissions and Converters “Package for the Points” Tony McNeal’s outstanding .006 package in Super Pro tied the best-of-the-year performance that Vicki Shepherd had established on April 15th. He earned a 10-point bonus for his efforts. Pat Figini and Derrick Jackson earned the same honor in Pro and Sportsman, also claiming the 10-point bonus. Their individual statistics and awards earned are as follows:
– Super Pro, Tony McNeal, .006 – Abby’s Pizza Woodburn & Blaster Products
– Pro, Pat Figini, .012 – Pico Wiring & Blaster Products
– Sportsman, Derrick Jackson, .056 – Lucas Oil & Blaster Products

In Super Shifter, John Masterman has been in the finals of all three events up to this point in the 2012 series. He earned his second event victory at this event, taking the win over Alejandro Razo’s Dodge Neon. Alex Schluckebier was the lone semi-finalist.

Spencer David earned the victory in Jr. Fast, facing Taylor Nielsen in the finals. His 7.942 on a 7.90 dial in was good for the win. Dustin Day and Jesse Skerjanec were semi-finalists. Dallas Hill had a great day in Jr. Lightning and saved his best light for the finals where he faced Carson Wheeler. His stellar .026 reaction time and 8.721 elapsed time on a 8.72 dial in was good for the win as Carson encountered mechanical problems. Alyssa Madison and Chad Tallan scored semi-final finishes. Kyler Pitts met Maria Marroquin in the finals of Jr. Thunder. Each had one previous event win this year. Each racer got the green light, but Maria broke out giving the win to Kyler. Tommy Tallan earned the semi-final honors. Alisha Miller earned the Jr. Tuff victory over Taylor Toftemark, due to a -.025 red light start.
