Gross Family Scores at the 40th Annual Awards Banquet

The 40th Annual Awards Banquet was recently held at the World of Speed Motorsports Museum in Wilsonville, Oregon. The Awards Banquet is to recognize Employees, Sponsors, and Racers in the Fall ET & Jr Racing Series, Specialty Racing Series, Nostalgia Hot Rod Series, World of Speed Jr Racing Series, and Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series. Nearly 350 people made this the largest attended Awards Banquet in Woodburn Dragstrip’s 57 year history. The Glembocki’s made another amazing table centerpiece for all the tables with the Eclipse.

A number of racers spoke and thanked their sponsors, families and loved ones for their support. But there was one racer that stole the show and that was Super Pro Champion Stephanie Nass. Her speech talked of her growing up at the track, to finally licensing in the family Super Pro Dragster, to dreaming of winning a Championship, which she has now accomplished. Stephanie’s mom, Susan, was selected as the Pico Wiring Accessories Crew Member of the Year and Stephanie took the Napa Auto Parts Driver of the Year while father, Kurt, took the Championship in the NHRA Super Quick Series. Not only was it an amazing night for the Gross family but an amazing year on the track.
