2011 Pro Nostalgia Champion – Todd Miller

Pro Nostalgia is a class for 1970 and older body style altered/roadsters, front-engine dragsters, and 1978 and older funny cars. Qualifying is based on ET with 7.99 being the slowest permitted. “Quick and Fast” is the motto for these racers who always put on a great show as the low qualifier is often in the mid-6 second range. The Tulip Festival, Season Opener, Oldies but Goodies, Hot Rod Nationals, and Fall Classic are the 5 events featuring Pro Nostalgia at Woodburn Dragstrip.

The 2011 Pro Nostalgia Series also featured one event at Bremerton Raceway. The competition was intense to say the least. When points were tallied toward the championship, only one point separated first from second place, with the top award going to Todd Miller over Dewayne Sanders. Chris Marshall earned honors for his third-place finish.

Dewayne Sanders and Todd Miller battled all season long. At the Season Opener, it was Sanders’ dragster (7.03) taking the win over Miller’s altered (7.34) in the final. Chris Marshall’s colorful Fiat took the victory over George Moore’s Altered in Pro Nostalgia “B” .

At the Oldies But Goodies, Spud Miller’s dragster (7.17) was victorious over Paul New (8.73) with Lloyd Hamilton downing Marlin Fosmark to earn the win in Pro Nostalgia “B”.

Todd Miller’s very strong 7.08 earned the victory over Chris Marshall at the Hot Rod Nationals in August, while Sanders earned a semi-final finish.

The final event of the season for Pro Nostalgia was to be held at the Fall Classic in September but mother nature had other plans as the final event was rained out.

Woodburn Dragstrip is happy to feature these fast cars in close competition throughout the season. We congratulate the top finishers for 2011: Paul New (5th), Lloyd Hamilton (4th), Chris Marshall (3rd), Dewayne Sanders (2nd), and 2011 Pro Nostalgia Champion, Todd Miller. Todd Miller is now a 4 Time Champion in Pro Nostalgia.
