Doug & Chris Bracey
Doug and Chris Bracey have established themselves as racers with a history no one else can match. Woodburn Dragstrip usually hosts one NHRA Divisional event per year. However, due to the fact that for a two-year time span, Woodburn Dragstrip was host to two events per year, in the 34-year history of NHRA Divisional events, Woodburn Dragstrip has been host to 36 NHRA Divisional events. Doug has attended each and every one of those 36 events and Chris has attended 27 consecutive events since their marriage. In fact, rather than plan a honeymoon, Doug and Chris spent the week following their wedding at two consecutive races. They made the trip north from Vallejo, CA to attend consecutive NHRA Divisional events in Medford and Woodburn.
Chris is a competitive Super Street racer, having gone multiple rounds at this event in her ‘67 Camaro. You may remember Doug in his 7-Up Willys Pickup Super Gas flyer. He has scored several runner-up finishes at this event and would love to take home the Wally. Currently, Doug has made the transition to his Red Line Oil ’98 Monte Carlo which he races in Top Sportsman.
